Task List

These task make duplicate removal more efficient.

  • Identifying different colour versions of photos. If your client wants to keep B&W and/or Sepia version of photos, they need to be idetified and Keyworded so that they are not accidentally removed as duplicates.

  • Managing added metadata. There's no point in preserving added metadata if it's redundant or meaningless - like the IPTC Description 'Olympus Digital Camera'.

  • Editing photo file extensions. So that the 'Same File Extension' option in DCP5 works as intended.

  • Editing filenames to facilitate duplicate removal. Removing filename suffixes that are not recognized as a 'Copy' part of filename by DCP5. When more filenames are recognized as being the same, duplicate removal is much more efficient..
