This course was not created just for Professional Photo Organizers!
If you are a Professional Photo Organizer or Photo Manager, or you want to become one, I believe no other application is as valuable as DOpus for many tasks necessary for organizing clients’ digital photo and video collections accurately, thoroughly, efficiently, and profitably!
If you use Windows File Explorer or Finder to access, organize, sort, or search personal or business files of any kind, you’ll appreciate the many powerful DOpus features not available in File Explorer. If the files you work with include photos and videos, you’ll appreciate DOpus features even more because of the photo and video metadata fields that can be accessed and edited with DOpus.
If you're a current DOpus user and you want to learn to work with photos and videos, this course will teach you what columns to display and how to view and evaluate the metadata in those columns
If you're determined to organize your own collection, this course will teach you things no other DIY course teaches—because there are no other DIY photo organizing courses that leverage the power of DOpus! Most Professional Photo Organizers started out organizing their own digital photo and video collections—or at least trying to—then took courses designed for pros.
This course begins by guiding you through the process of adjusting Directory Opus 13 Preferences and other elements of the user interface to transform it from its basic default state into a very powerful tool for managing and working with all types of files—especially photos and videos.
Adjusting over 40 Preferences. Many improve how DOpus works with photos and videos.
Editing and creating Folder Formats for working with different types of files. Folder Formats control what metadata and properties columns will be displayed automatically based on the type(s) of files in a folder.
Customizing the Toolbars by rearranging items so that important features can be accessed more easily. That includes moving some buttons out of Toolbar menus and onto a Toolbar.
Saving the changes you made as a Configuration file to protect those changes.
There are many ways folders and files can be accessed and viewed in DOpus. You’ll learn to make the most of the different options for different tasks.
Using Folder Tabs
Using Dual Display and multiple Listers
Using Details View or Thumbnails View
Using three types of Flat Views for viewing contents of folders and their subfolder.
Launching Fall 2025. You'll Learn:
